A lovely Art deco Duette brooch which is pave set with an array of dazzling clear round-cut rhinestones set in silver toned rhodium plated metal. This versatile brooch can be worn as a complete brooch or it can be separated and the individual clips worn as adornments to a dress or on lapels of a jacket etc., The dress clips have a spring-hinged mechanism and mount onto the skeleton frame. The frame is stamped with BRIT. PAT. 410696 and CAN. Pat. 347175 whilst both of the individual dress clips are stamped PAT. 1852188. However, although this Duette is unsigned the fact that it has the Patent Number 1852188 which was issued to Elias Phinney in 1932 for Cohn & Rosenberger “CORO” would definitely indicate that this piece was indeed produced by CORO. C. Mid 1930’s
