Vintage Whiting & Davis Gold Mesh Kelly Style Handbag/Purse

A wonderful vintage gold mesh handbag/purse made by Whiting & Davis which shows the superb quality of their products and how they have stood the test of time and continue to have an enduring allure.  The esteemed company of Whiting & Davis is probably best known for manufacturing beautifully designed products such as gold mesh handbags and accessories which they have been doing over many decades.  This very pretty miniature “Kelly” style handbag has a lovely ornate bamboo motif clasp (for opening and closing) and the inside has the typical Whiting & Davis peach coloured fabric lining that includes an internal pocket which spans the whole width of the handbag.   As shown in the accompanying images this handbag has a gold link chain that is looped through gold coloured eyelets embedded on top of the bag that easily lets the chain move freely – this feature allows two wearable options;  one of carrying the handbag on the arm (with the chain doubled) or by simply extending one of the chains so that it can nicely drape over ones shoulder.  The inside lining of this handbag has the attached Whiting & Davis fabric label-tag  – it also comes with the original box packaging.
