Vintage 1960’s RAYNE Dark Chocolate Brown Toned Handbag With Embroidered Design

An exceptional vintage handbag that has the wonderful legacy of distinction from the well renowned British brand “RAYNE”.

A classic quality made handbag from the 1960’s in rich dark brown coloured tones that has three individual compartmental sections all beautifully lined with matching brown coloured satin. On the outside of the handbag (on both sides) is a lovely delicate mesh with a woven geometric pattern in a lighter shade of brown that no doubt gives this handbag its unique style.  The quality of this handbag definitely shines through particularly with the fine stitching seen across the top of the frame and on the two individual handles that truly shows the extent of the wonderful craftmanship.  The main compartment is secured with a gold toned snap clasp and the two ridged handles are attached to each side with gold toned embellished fixtures.  On the inside of the main section of the handbag is a wide zipped compartment with a hanging chain, and beneath it is a wide pocket that contains a small matching coin purse in the identical matching brown coloured satin lining. On the opposite side there are three separate pockets; one that holds the original mirror (still with the original cellophane) and two others; one for perhaps a lipstick and the other to hold a compact.  The main compartment has the “RAYNE” mark stamped – as shown in the images.
