Vintage Hattie Carnegie “Lion in the Grass” Brooch

A lovely whimsical figural brooch aptly known as “Lion in the grass”. This is one of the animals “in the grass” figural brooch series by Hattie Carnegie and they are extremely sought after by collectors. The lion’s body and head is made from coral coloured Lucite with a gold toned textured mane with the eyes bezel set with clear marquise rhinestones. The lion is set sitting amongst blades of grass some of which are detailed in black enamelling and some set with clear pave rhinestones. Although this brooch is unsigned as were many of these pieces, it is a wonderful Hattie Carnegie brooch from her jungle series
