Vintage JOMAZ Faux Emerald And Rhinestone Earrings

An exquisite pair of floral motif vintage clip-on earrings by JOMAZ.  Each earring features a large facetted flawed faux emerald as the central stone with the surrounding petals adorned with small pave set clear crystals – all in a rhodium plating setting which is in remarkable condition considering their age.  These earrings are marked JOMAZ with Pat.156452 inscribed on the inside of both clips.  This patent number refers to the design of the ‘Ear Clip Finding’ by Frederick W. Moulson, awarded in 1949 and was used by many other notable jewellery designers of the 20th Century.
