Vintage 1950’s Evans Carryall Compact Purse with Pearl & Rhinestones

A fabulous vintage Evans Carryall vanity purse in gold tone metal – the front has a wonderful lattice design that is decorated in an elaborate sweeping floral motif which is ornately embellished with clear rhinestones and teardrop shaped pearls. The compact/purse has dual compartments – on one side it has the mirror, powder compact, the lipstick holder, comb and a small coin purse and on the other side it has a compartment to hold other essential items.   This quality product was made by Evans in the USA and still retains the original tag from that era. The compact/carryall has a small snake link chain attached in order to hold it on the arm.

There was a wonderful variety of small glamorous vanity styles of Compacts/Minaudiere type evening purses which were vey popular during the 1940’s/50’s and which were one the of the must have accessories of the time.  Evans produced their own wonderful unique range of these “hold all” elegant styles of accessories – branding their design as “Carryalls” that have been depicted in many of their advertising campaigns during those times.

Condition: Mint – Exceptional quality and one of the best we have acquired – in superb condition considering the age of the piece!
