CHRISTIAN DI0R 1980s Vintage Byzantine Style Medallion Necklace

Vintage Christian Dior gold-plated necklace with large oval shaped double linked segments that are intricately intertwined forming a lovely decorative chain.  From this ornate chain hangs a Byzantine style medallion disc which features at the centre a large domed shaped green flawed glass cabochon that is surrounded by red, blue and green small round flawed glass cabochons.  The necklace closes securely with a fold-over clasp and it is marked on the clasp and the back of the medallion “Chr. Dior”.

This fabulous necklace dates from around the 1980’s and would complement a variety of different outfits from casual to more formal styles – a great versatile necklace to own.
