A fabulous Art deco “Duette” brooch which is pave set with an array of dazzling clear round-cut rhinestones set in silver toned rhodium plated metal. This versatile brooch can be worn as a complete brooch or it can be separated and the individual clips worn as adornments to a dress or on lapels of a jacket or another type of accessory. The two clips have a spring-hinged mechanism that mount onto the skeleton frame. The frame is stamped with BRIT. PAT. 410696 and CAN. Pat. 347175 whilst both of the individual dress clips are stamped PAT. 1852188. The Patent Number 1852188 was issued to Elias Phinney in 1932 for Cohn & Rosenberger “CORO” would definitely indicate that this piece was indeed produced by CORO. c. 1930’s
